Isra’iliyyat represents a critical issue in the development of Quranic exegesis. It involves the integration of Judeo-Christian narratives into explanations of Quranic verses. This problem concerns both narrative validity and the transmission process of religious messages. Modern da’wah communication spreads religious information through digital media. Consequently, the public may accept unverified narratives as authentic Islamic teachings. This study analyzes Isra’iliyyat as a da’wah communication problem. It explains the transmission process within exegetical traditions and formulates verification principles for contemporary da’wah. The study employs library research with a descriptive-analytical approach. Data come from the Quran, Hadith, exegetical works, Quranic sciences literature, scholarly books on Isra’iliyyat, and journal articles on da’wah communication and digital literacy. The research analyzes sources through identification, classification, comparison, and interpretation. Literature analysis classifies Isra’iliyyat into three categories: narratives aligning with Islamic sources, narratives contradicting the Quran and Sunnah, and narratives with unverifiable authenticity. In da’wah communication, problems occur when communicators fail to clarify narrative status to the audience. Digital media expansion heightens this risk because actors produce and disseminate religious content rapidly. Therefore, da’wah communication requires source verification, textual and chain criticism (sanad and matn), source investigation (tabayyun), information status classification, and audience transparency. This study frames Isra’iliyyat as a da’wah communication issue, expanding Isra’iliyyat research from Quranic exegesis into Islamic communication studies.
